.On February 4th, 2004, the world-wide phenomenon Facebook was invented by Mark Zuckerberg, thus kicking off the social media revolution. Little did Zuckerberg know that not only would be creating a way for consumers to keep in touch with one another, but would be paving the way for other social media platforms to rise.
After the creation of Facebook, other services like Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube would be invented, giving consumers access to multiple social media platforms that are each uniquely different from one another. In addition to giving consumers ways to communicate with both complete strangers and people that they know, they gave companies new and creative ways to market their products.
Social media marketing has changed the landscape for marketing as we know it. It allows marketing gurus to advertise to potentially millions of social media users by just making unique posts. While some companies are still trying to figure out how to utilize the social media space, others have been taking advantage for a while now.
Arby’s is one of the greatest examples of how to market in a completely unique and different ways. Take one of the companies tweets below as an example:

Arby’s is capitalizing on trending topics and pop culture in order to market their food to their consumer base. By doing this, they are gaining new customers by attracting them through one of their creative tweets/pictures. You only have to go to the comments section to see how much thought Arby’s is putting into marketing their food. Arby’s marketing gurus have done their research and have done their part.
Companies like Arby’s have learned how to use social media platforms to reach out to millions of potential new consumers and the social media trend will continue to grow over the next number of years. After all, the world of marketing always seems to change as soon as marketing gurus get comfortable with current trends.
